Pascal Langdale
GAP Master
Pascal Langdale is an actor and teacher known for reliable versatility across multiple media, working extensively in TV, Film, Voice and Video Game. A movement specialist with an expertise in Laban Technique and nonverbal behavior, Pascal brings characters to life through embodied voice, physicality and psychology.
Pascal’s frustration with the techniques he had been taught at RADA started as early as 1997, beginning over a decade of research into nonverbal behavior at the British Library. Mocap revealed the degree of transformation that was possible and the gap between the word based “Actions” and real behavior.
Testing his hypothesis of a Psycho-Physical approach on RADA peers and then students, Pascal (and some of the original students) continued to use the technique in their professional work. However, it wasn’t until lockdown reading that Pascal discovered that the foundations are shared by a therapy called PBSP, validated by a Stanford study.
Pascal has now taught the GAP technique to many actors, online, in person, at acting studios, and drama schools. After undeniable evidence of GAP's effectiveness, in 2024 he decided to expand the method to as many actors as possible by training teachers.
Nominated for CGA and NAVGTR awards, Pascal’s credits range from onscreen commercials, Audiobooks, TV, regional and national theater, perfcap, mocap and voice for AAA and indie game titles.
Pascal’s experience is broad and deep. The GAP technique tested in the real world.
